Musical Talents Travel to Capital

Approximately 80 students from the W.T. Clarke Middle School traveled to Albany on March 25 to perform at the Legislative Office Buildings.

The middle school’s Chamber Singers, Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble shared their love of music with legislators from around the state in celebration of “Music in Our School Month.” This initiative was organized by the New York State School Music Association to recognize the importance of musical enrichment in education. Following the performances, students were treated with a tour of the historical State Capitol Building.

“Thank you to our state legislators and leaders of NYSSMA for allowing our students to share their talents and love of music,” said Director of Music and Art Dr. Christopher Hale.
