Eight of the students enrolled in the Music Production course at East Meadow High School passed the challenging Apple Logic Pro X certification exam this past May and earned Apple Pro certification. This accomplishment places these individuals in a unique class of professionals and demonstrates both a commitment to excellence and a thorough knowledge of the recording arts.

Those who earned certification this past spring are Mehrin Ali, Lindsey Fitzgerald, Evan Haber, Zahra Lakhani, Wilmer Mejia, Domenic Pashalian, Adam Reyes and Jessica Rudolph.

Logic Pro is a complete professional recording studio that provides musicians with everything needed to go from the first note to the final master. Unique to the Mac OS platform, the software application is a digital audio workstation and Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) sequencer. The X version was released in July 2013.

Students may take the certification exam upon completion of the Music Production course, taught by Bill Kinslow. Mr. Kinslow is an authorized Apple trainer, and the high school, with support from the East Meadow School District, is an Apple Authorized Training Center for Education.
