The East Meadow High School Theatre Guild and music department generated plenty of steam with their performance of “The Pajama Game.” Audience members sang along and fell in love again with this timeless story on Dec. 7-9.

As conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory become unbearable, union workers go on strike demanding a seven-and-a-half-cent raise. While the strike blossoms, new superintendent Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee, dive into a romantic relationship that will not only have to endure this conflict between management and labor, but also endure a battle of the sexes.

Directed by East Meadow High School chorus teacher Caitlin Hale, the talented East Meadow cast and crew presented a crowd-pleasing classic musical comedy traveling back to the 1950s era with energetic songs and dance routines.

The Theatre Guild would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Hale, East Meadow High School Music Chairperson Stephen Engle (conductor), art teacher Ingo Prangenberg (technical advisor), music teacher Bill Kinslow (sound design) and Board of Education trustee Scott Eckers (lighting design) for this successful fall musical.
