East Meadow HS Senior Recognized by U.S. Army All-American Marching Band

For the second consecutive year, an East Meadow High School senior has been invited to perform in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl halftime show. Jaden Nogee will join the 125 high school member marching band in San Antonio, Texas from January 2 through 8, 2017.

On Friday Sept. 23, All-American Games Representatives and U.S. servicemen held a ceremony acknowledging Jaden for her talent and dedication among administrators, fellow student musicians and her family. Staff Sergeant Justin Durant commended Jaden not only for her musical talents but also for being a well-rounded student. “Jaden Nogee has been selected as a 2017 U.S. Army All-American for emboding the characteristics and values of Army soldier,” Staff Sergeant Durant said. “We are proud to have her on our team and to wear the All-American colors.”

Following his remarks, Jaden thanked the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band for honoring her and expressed her gratitude toward percussion teacher Steven Blutman, Music Chairperson Christopher Hale and the entire East Meadow Music Department. “Thank you to every one who has helped me get to this moment.  These are the people who are constantly challenging my abilities, expanding my horizons, and providing me with amazing opportunities after opportunites,” she said.
