The East Meadow Board of Education cordially invites all school community members to attend a focus group meeting on October 6, 2016, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center to discuss the search process for our new Superintendent of Schools.

During the meeting, attendees will have an opportunity to:
•    meet search consultants from School Leadership LLC to learn about the Superintendent search process and timeline;
•    share the qualities and experiences they want in a new Superintendent; and,
•    identify major leadership challenges he/she may face over the next few years.

All input will be compiled into a set of search specifications that the Board will approve at its meeting on November 10, 2016, at the Leon J. Campo Salisbury Center at 7 p.m. These specifications will be used as a guide for the Board as it embarks on a search for a new chief school officer.

Every voice counts! If you cannot attend the meeting, the Board asks residents to complete a brief survey at by October 10, 2016. Hard copies of the survey are available at the East Meadow Public Library and the main office of your local school.  Please note that the date for submitting the survey to School Leadership LLC has been extended to allow even more time for completion.
